    The hotel is lovely, the common areas and rooms are well-designed, the details are thought-through. The location is also great – you are close to the sea but also at the very heart of the Old City and its cultural gems. We equally appreciated the breakfast, which is exceptionally well-prepared.

    The rooms are a bit stuffy since you can't open the windows. There's also a noise issue with nearby bars blasting music well into the night, and despite the insulation you can still hear the bass in the room. It seems like there are quieter rooms in the building, but even though I specifically requested one before arrival, this request wasn't accommodated. During our stay, the hotel had some issues with payment options and wasn't accepting AmEx which, for me, was extremely inconvenient. It would have been helpful to have been informed of this. Finally, as many reviews mention the unfortunate caged birds in the lobby – the birds, many guests' complaints notwithstanding, are still there and still miserable.
