    The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was really good.

    was sold as evening entertainment; there was none, It also said tv had streaming service like netfix but again it didnt. The room was very small and had these two silly bedside tables which we had to move at night to be able to get into bed. The bar seemed to close when it wanted to, so therefore we had to find another bar if we wanted an evening drink. Not once in the time we stayed ( 5 days, 4 nights ) did our room get cleaned, we never had any clean towels, The refreshments were never replenished, we had to keep going to the bar for coffee and hot chocalate for the room. The two guys running it went away, which is fine, but the staff that were there were not helpful at all. we had to go and buy teabags, sugar and milk from corner shop as couldnt get them at hotel. It felt a bit daunting when the guys went away and we were the only 2 people left in the building. We seriously felt that the staff at the hotel had just given up caring. due to it being up for sale for a long time. This is such a shame because this pub could have so much potential. Usk and the surrounding areas were lovely but felt very disappointed by the lack of detail in the hotel. we were very much left to our own devices. even when we left we were told to just leave key on bar ( which we did ) but didnt have a chance to say goodbye as there was no one around. We feel that for £450 for just sleeping and breakfast was not a good deal.

    Very friendly, good beer food and comfortable bar. A pleasant place to be.An attractive town.

    Room was abit small but comfortable bed and good shower.
