    Has seen better days

Good location in between Windermere and Ambleside. Large lounge and warm gas fire.

The nightmare parking at a distance from the apartment (up a bad track which was not suitable for my small car). The noise from the people in the apartment above (they weren't being particularly noisy but it felt as if they were almost in the room with us). It wasn't particularly clean and the bathroom smelt of damp. Everything felt very tired (see photos later......the firepit in reality looks nothing like the firepit in the picture on Booking.com and the 'garden' was overgrown).

The cottage is lovely and has a warm feel.

The add about the cottage was misleading. It stated that the parking was good but it wasn't. As a 84 year old woman the walk to the cottage was difficult. It also stated that there was barbecue facilities but all that was there was a old rusty double disc.

We had a lovely stay and were happy with the cottage

Loved the character of the cottage. It was clean ,tidy and suitable for our group

Access to the property was difficult for an elderly person.

Property was a great base for exploring the Lake District, close enough for Bowness but far enough out you could relax!

The cottage was cosy, clean and nicely decorated. All contact with the owners was helpful and friendly, which all helps to make the stay a smooth one! Some great recommendations for what to do.

Wonderful old cottage with a lot of character. Cozy and comfortable with a great location in the southern lakes. We are a family of four and had a lovely six nights there in July.
