Overall experience is big let down but good for anyone who likes trains
The property looks amazing and the Pullman carriages when pulling up to the property. Its vintage and quaint look gives a real old-fashioned feel.
One partner had a great night sleep and the other didn’t get much sleep, the bed was very creaky, the double bed over to big and had limited space walking next to it. It was very dusty ie glass light fixtures on the ceilings, marks in the bathtub, and cobwebs on the frame inside the bathroom, radiator inside full of dust. I totally understand the property is in a isolated rural position and some things I like cobwebs is understandable if you ask guests to leave by 10 or 11 and they check in after 3 pm it gives an enough time for someone to properly deep clean the carriages. The overall experience I gave a 5 out of 10 for the property due to the fact it was dusty in areas of the carriage, one partner not sleeping well due to the creaky bed, the breakfast serviced up tastes like the bacon was on the hot plate for hours and tasted very rubbery, the overall experience is a big let down and won’t be staying here again or recommending the property.

Great experience.
Lovely setting, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Exceptionally clean - remarkable for a very old train carriage. Friendly staff from whom we learned a lot about the railway station and nearby Petworth House. We enjoyed a fine dining experience in the specially refurbished Pullman carriage (not open on Sundays and Mondays).
