    The room

    Upon arrival, we were not even offered a complementary drink or any small welcome gesture, something we would normally expect from a hotel of this standard with 5*. I admit that I made a mistake by not booking breakfast in advance. However, nobody informed us beforehand that breakfast was not included or that we would need to book a time slot for it and we ended up paying an additional £50 for two people, which felt excessive for what we received. For a hotel charging these prices, I would expect better communication, more attention to detail and a level of hospitality that reflects its five-star status.

    A wonderful stay in the Cotswolds. The staff were very warm and friendly and the food was excellent
