Location, Location, Location!! & very comfortable
Location was great, near Skybus drop off, also close to a 'Hop on Hop off' bus stop and about 8 minute stroll to Pier for all tours departing, including to Mona & the Pennicott Wilderness Journeys office. Also close to many restaurants and pubs, and great coffee shops. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was on the ground floor and very comfortable and had everything we needed. Woolworths delivered some groceries to us as well. Felt very secure with card entry to building as well.
Meals and drinks were a bit expensive. A tour group come through and took over the bar at happy hour, not sure if it's a regular occurrence.

Standards are slipping
The location is good. We've been to The Old Woolstore many times in the past. It is close to restaurants, has on-site parking and is within easy walking distance to the CBD. They have a few parking spaces set aside for checking in so it's easy to do. The room we stay in has a Spa bath, kitchen, washer and dryer, so we are fairly self sufficient.
The TV is mounted on the wall and the mounting bracket is usually multi directional, so it can be view from the couches, the bed or the spa. That has changed to a fixed mounting bracket so it only faces one couch. We had to move the bed (and other furniture) to be able to watch it in the comfort of the bed. Even a basic hotel room has the TV visible from the bed. Plus, we had to move the bed back before we left so the poor cleaners didn't have to do it. They work hard enough already. I have no problem with the pump packs of shampoo etc in the bathroom but they are fixed to the wall and there isn't one near the spa so I had to find a receptacle to put bubbles in for the bath. This is just poor planning. The couches are not very comfortable and used to have cushions which helped. These are now gone for some reason. I would use them to support my back while sitting on the couch and also on the kitchen chairs to lift me and make it easier to eat at the table. The pillows (which have always been a plus here) are in need of replacing. They are old and flattened now, and not comfortable anymore. I feel the standards here have slipped and I wonder what else will change for the worse.

Great location but don’t book expecting a view.
Fantastic location and easy parking. Room service every day was amazing so unit was always clean.
The bedroom was quite noisy, you could hear foot steps on above floors and in corridors outside. The rooms were quite dark and no views- small windows in the bedrooms and quite claustrophobic. Our double bed was very hard and pillows were hard. For the cost I was disappointed.
