    Top Lage, Metro direkt vor der Tür , sehr nettes Personal, Zimmer sauber und für unseren Kurztrip perfekt, leckere Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, wir kommen gerne wieder 🫶🏻

    I chose the originals paix republique because i love this area of Paris but this would have been my first time staying them. The day after my credit card was charged there was the huge student protest in paris, i'm all for the students and was fine with being around any peaceful protests, but i soon saw the scenes from the area with the police gassing innocent people and a lot of chaos, i contacted the hotel asking if i could have not a refund but a voucher for a future stay, bc as a single woman i would feel unsafe at night and they said that it wasn't possible but didn't explain why, soon after the police said the area would be under a curfew, which meant it clearly wasn't safe to be out, who wants to stay in a place under curfew? i asked again for the chance of a refund, but i was ignored. i understand this was an extraordinary circumstance, but i think i was being reasonable, i asked for a voucher not a refund, i think if there is a curfew in place i should be allowed to cancel without being charged. beware, this is an area where this might happen in the future.
