Great location. Room was lovely. We were here for one night and had the suite which was perfect and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

really enjoyed my short stay
Good size room and bed, very friendly staff, nice dining room and bar area, although only there for a very short time it is aplace that i would book again if visiting the island and would certainly recommend to other people
Only thing that would have been a bit better would be shampoo in shower and a biscuit for a cup of tee, although this wouldn't put me off returning

Disappointed
Person on arrival very cheery ,polite and helpful.Sadley morning of day one when supplied breakfast only semi skimmed milk offered and person based into table knocked coffee cups over along with side plate etc .Sad as first person shined .
Hotel is very tired, needs revamp, dampness around widows, one radiator had no control and did not work, towel rail did not work, other radiator heated to halfway. Paint cracked and pealing, sink in bathroom no blocker so everything could fall down it. Bathroom floor uneven, no bath grip or internal slip mat on a deep bath which was crazed with wear, tv pixels going rather obviously, no complimentary toiletries except a tiny soap and shampool,. Towels were a mismatch, very worn and definitely past best. Tea tray in suite, had plain tea bags, coffee sachets, no choice of teas or other beverages, eg hot choclate, no complimentary biscuits. There were no tissues, and carpet was well past it's best with stains. The pillows were flat & dead, smaller than expecte. Several cobwebs around lights. No leaflets or booklets or "what's on" in or about Dunoon. There were a couple of tourist board magazines for the wider area but nothing specific about Dunoon area. Cameras in all areas and seemed to be set at people eating. Quite disconcerting to note one has been observed while eating. Annoyingly there was no option to prebook dinner yet tables had been reserved for non residents. Food price exorbitant, no discount for resident guests . Had dinner only once. We ate elsewhere, for less and better quality. Ate full cooked breakfast once never again very greasy parts burnt. Stuck to just poached eggs next two days even they were poorly cooked. Tables chipped and some rather small for 2, we had difficulty in finding space for breakfast crockery . Having previously ran a guest house and offered b&b supplied a lot more then here . Could not recommend here very disappointed as know and love Dunoon.

A comfortable stay for the price
Hotel was friendly and comfortable. The food was very good. As a family run hotel, they were more adaptable than other hotels. The room was good when compared to other hotels.
