The property itself was fine and met our needs once we were inside. However, the check-in process was stressful enough that I feel future guests should know what to expect. The listing did state that a $300 refundable damage deposit was required. However, there were no instructions explaining that the deposit would need to be sent through Zelle to a separate contact before receiving the door code. Had I known that an off-platform Zelle payment would be required, I would have chosen a different property. We had already paid nearly $700 for our two-night stay the week before, and the reservation was non-refundable. When I called for the door code, I was told that I needed to send the $300 deposit through Zelle before the code would be provided. Since I had never encountered this process with a Booking.com reservation, I asked a few questions to verify it. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly became uncomfortable. The host said my questions made her uncomfortable and suggested we might not be able to stay. Because we were already almost to Lake Havasu and had a non-refundable reservation, I felt I had little choice but to send the deposit so we wouldn’t risk losing our accommodations. The door code was then provided. The deposit was returned after checkout, but it took four business days. While I did receive it back, the unexpected payment process and uncertainty about when the money would be returned made the experience unnecessarily stressful. Additionally, the listing photos showed a garage and an elevator, but both were locked and unavailable during our stay. If these amenities are not available to guests, I believe the listing should clearly state that. The house itself was fine, but I think future guests should know about the off-platform deposit process before booking so they can make an informed decision.

A very comfortable home. We enjoyed our stay.
Close to the island and downtown area. The property was beautiful and the design was modern. The owners were pleasant and easy to work with.
The BBQ was not working and not repaired during our stay. The kitchen lacked sufficient pots and pans for cooking.
