Beautiful house and ground and the rooms very spacious and nice decorated.added bonus- goats in the garden!
The house itself was lovely and had great potential, but unfortunately the attention to detail and cleanliness let it down. There were quite a few cobwebs and a noticeable build-up of dust throughout the property. There also weren't enough towels provided for the number of guests staying, and the showerhead was heavily affected by limescale. We had hoped to use the bath as well, but there was no bath plug. The property was advertised as having air conditioning, but on arrival we were told there wasn't any. The owner was helpful and kindly provided a fan, which we appreciated, but the bedrooms was still extremely hot and stuffy. It's a shame because we had booked this as a special treat the night before my sister's wedding, and while the house itself was great, these issues unfortunately took away from what should have been a really special stay.

Very disappointing and shocking. Would not recommend!
Most bedrooms had an ensuite. Pool table and large TV went down very well. Lots of parking. Good size - if it was well maintained, cleaned and looked after.
Took 4.5 hours from our initial check in time to get the gate code and gain access (in and out!) for all guests. Host finally answered the phone, explaining he was at a funeral, on a Friday evening.... At this point cold food we brought had gone bad as was sitting in the car on a hot day. Non-ex communication from host. Kitchen - Was very dirty and grimy. Plates/glasses were all dirty and not washed properly. Dishwasher would fall out onto you when you opened the door. Lack of items in the kitchen for a large house. Oven and cabinets were filled with crumbs. Outside BBQ was disgusting - lots of dried meat all over it. Only 3 of the 5 hob rings worked. Bathrooms - Clean but not enough towels for all the rooms, nor any hand towels provided. Not all bathrooms had soap. Some bins were empty, but one bathroom had used bloody sanitary products in it already when we arrived. Bathroom for single room is just a storage room. Lounge area - No batteries in any of the various remotes. The pool table had missing balls. No info on how to work the projector. Outside - Lots of litter in the garden. Lots of random dangerous equipment in the garden - not ideal for young children. One parasol was not correctly anchored into the pavement, and so a dog statue was used to hold it down, huge health and safety concern. 3 goats in the garden, 2 were pregnant and had no water to drink. The other house on site left their Jack Russell puppy outside all night for both nights we stayed, Overall - Quite dirty everywhere, questionable stains and broken items. Fire alarm kept beeping as battery dying. During our stay, a random individual turned up and filmed the house/garden/drive whilst we were all there. Felt very uncomfortable and scary to be filmed by a stranger. We also had no air conditioning and no hot water the entire stay. Host not responsive to calls or messages (from us or booking.com) to get various issues resolved. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Large house but not recommended due to poor condition and lack of care
Size of property (if it had been clean and maintained properly)
Where to start as so many issues! Worst things were lack of cleanliness (things left from previous letting such as cot with cot bedding and baby bottle, random toys outside, dirty bedding and towels left out etc), no hot water (eventually immersion heater turned on and then water scolding!), bathroom had stagnant water in the bath as plug stuck in, ground floor accessible bathroom not accessible as full of storage items, broken air conditioning unit (property description implies air conditioning throughout but only one broken unit), no instructions left for anything (including how to get out of the exit gate!), no TVs or remotes working, lack of items in the kitchen for house of this size (and not enough seating), outside unkept and parasol base not securely fixed. The property owner initially seemed responsive, blaming a 'rogue' cleaner he'd just sacked, and offered us some money back and said he'd come round to fix things. But he never came, despite me chasing, and instead only sent round a 'maintenance' person who couldn't sort much out (other than putting immersion on, giving us a key fob for the gate, another remote and some more cutlery!). All in all, the house needs a lot of attention to get these things sorted out and until then I would not recommend booking it! Even then, the description should make it very clear that the road is very busy with fast cars, and to give advice on where to slow down for the entrance driveway as this is quite hidden and difficult to navigate initially.
