VERY disappointed with the executive lounge. Mediocre food but the service was not guest focused. At check in I was told that it was open for drink and snacks until 9pm. I showed up at 8:40 and the drinks were already put away. The staff wouldn’t even pour a glaaa of wine. I’d understand a mixed drink with more complexity, but just pouring the wine is simple. I tried with a smile to ask please please just a glass. But no no no. Not a customer focused practice for something I paid extra for. Please tell the front desk to not represent a service that isn’t available. Won’t recommend hotel.

It is an short 7-10 walk from the Shinagawa station to the hotel, depending if you're coming off on the Shinkansen, JR, or Keikyu line. Minato City is not totally flat, so while we dragged our luggage up the small incline to the hotel front, they immediately offered to take our large bags and brought them up to our room after we checked in. The rooms themselves are very large, especially for 2 people with large bags and everything was very clean. The gardens by the hotel looked so expansive and tranquil, I wish I had time to walk through them!
The gym can be busy in the morning, even before 8 am on a weekday. There were no treadmills to use.

Used as a transit hotel before air travel and it was perfectly fine.
It's an older hotel that does everything well.
It's a very big place, tidy rooms but not luxury.
