Great staff, perfect location to slow down for a couple of weeks
Great food, excellent massage services, and the friendliest, most supportive staff I have experienced so far. I highly recommend it if you are planning to disconnect and relax. The resort is in a secluded area, but quite close to the city center, about a 5-10-minute ride.
We had the misfortune of experiencing a tokay gecko serenade firsthand and hunting geckos for a couple of nights in one of the Garden Suites, then decided to move to one of the Jungle Villas. Not ideal, but also not something the property can easily control, given the location. Go for the Villas if you want a quiet place; the Garden Suites might not be the best choice given the early arrival of the restaurant staff and the housekeeping team, it can be quite noisy in the morning

A relaxing, private stay with excellent service in a beautiful jungle setting
The strongest part of the stay was the privacy of the villa. It felt peaceful, secluded, and very relaxing, with its own pool and sunbed and plenty of greenery around. Being so close to the jungle gives the property a very natural atmosphere, and the villa is a pleasant place to spend time even if you are not planning to go out. The staff were another major highlight. Everyone was consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, always greeting you with a smile and making an effort to help with any request. The service felt personal without being intrusive, and overall there was a genuine sense of being well looked after throughout the stay. Housekeeping was also very good, with the villa usually cleaned twice a day, and the bed was particularly comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was very enjoyable. There is a good selection of freshly prepared à la carte dishes, together with fresh fruit and juices, and the quality was consistently good. The property is around a 30-minute walk from central Ubud, but in practice it is much more convenient to take a taxi, which only takes a few minutes. The hotel also provides a shuttle to the city a couple of times per day. The walk itself is not particularly scenic, so there is little reason not to take a short ride. At the same time, the hotel is far enough from the busiest streets to remain quiet, while still being easy to find and easily accessible by taxi or motorbike.
The main drawback is that the villa interiors feel dated and could benefit from refurbishment. This was particularly noticeable in the bathroom, which was clean but the toilet looked really old and had an unpleasant smell. Some of the soft furnishings could also use more attention: the curtains would benefit from a thorough cleaning or replacement, while the mosquito net around the bed had small holes and stains and felt due for renewal. Another point to keep in mind is the villa’s location very close to the jungle. This naturally means there are quite a lot of insects around the outdoor areas, particularly various kinds of ants, so anyone who is uncomfortable with insects should be prepared for this. At the same time, this may actually be part of the appeal for people who enjoy being surrounded by nature, as you can also see geckos, lizards, and even frogs, especially in the evenings. That said, the sleeping area itself was free of insects and wildlife, apart from occasional mosquitos.

Perfection
If you want to sight see don't stay here because you won't want to leave. This place is perfection and this is coming from a well travelled often family solo traveller. The staff, food and the best message I've ever had. I skipped a lot of sightseeing because why leave when you're in Paradise. My nephew ended up staying on his own for a couple of days and we are still talking about this place. Bali is a long way from home but I would want to go back to just stay at The Purist.
Just not there are two pools one buy the spa and one in front of the restaurant. If you want more privacy go to the spa pool.
