Location is perfect for us with walking distance of the centre
We booked a smoking room which we always do as we dont smoke but do vape Have never had any issues before but this time ...yes I know it's a smoking room ...but the smell of old smoke was overwhelming It was very strong and didn't seem to have been freshened up

a well located hotel for visiting York but it needs some refurbishment
the location was great and very central for exploring York
it was very tired and in need of some refurbishment, the reception area was nondescript and not very welcoming, the pre-booked car parking arrangements didn’t work very well as he access barrier was broken so anyone could park
