Great view from the bedroom and the balcony off the living room, really comfortable double bed, nice size private bathroom which most days had hot water from the shower (only a couple of days it was lukewarm), great WiFi in the room (not so great in the communal areas but I did specifically request a room that had good WiFi so I could work online and that was provided so no complaints there).
I was a bit disappointed in the service I received while there which did not match up with the description of what is to be expected from the booking.com website, nor other reviews (still not sure what to put this down to, I can only hope it was just a one-off maybe due to the distractions of the world cup): 1. Booking.com notes that PayPal is an accepted form of payment. Having pretty much spent all of my cash in Galapagos, I was hoping to pay by card through PayPal but when I arrived the insistence was on cash otherwise I had to (and did) pay a 15% mark up fee on top of the advertised price to pay by PayPal. 2. The welcome on check-in was very brief and as soon as I got shown my room for the night, the host got distracted by a phone call and pretty quickly left so I was unable to ask any questions/clarify anything for that night. 3. On checking in I was informed that breakfast is not provided/prepared during the weekends (I was staying for 10+ days across two weekends), only the ingredients would be provided and I would have to prepare my own breakfast. At first I questioned this as I couldn't see this as noted anywhere on booking.com and I had specifically booked hotels where breakfast is included as it's one less thing for me to think about when travelling and working, but when the response was "it's only a continental breakfast anyway" I didn't bother to question any further, plus it was too late to cancel as the booking had become non-refundable by that point and as a solo female traveller I did not feel comfortable looking for an alternative place that would meet all my requirements late at night. 4. Despite the above, breakfast was only provided on 3 of 10+ days that I was there, the rest of the days I was expected to prepare my own breakfast in the shared kitchen, sometimes without any communication of such, so a few days it was a guessing game - if the door to the host's apartment was closed at around 08.

Perfekte Lage und toller Gastgeber
Super Lage, sehr familiär und Marco gab uns viele gute Tips. Die historische Innenstadt ist fussläufig schnell erreichbar und vom Zimmer aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Basilika
