Charming old style seaside hotel with mod cons where possible

Great location and a lovely old building. with much character. We booked a suite (nicely renovated ) separate lounge and dressing room, Had a full size bath with shower set overhead . Room was provided with good selection of teas, real ground coffee bags along with cookies and fresh cakes !! Plus bottled water. Also nice touch with USB power points in Bedsides . Overall a great stay.

Parking was free (charge of ten pounds from Dec 2026) but on a first come first served basis only - guaranteed at an extra cost might be better? Full Breakfast with lots of choices was included and whilst excellent, it was slow in coming - we were leaving to catch a airplane so took a bit longer than we would have expected

Distraught and angry that my mobility issues declared at the time of booking were totally ignored

    The view from the bar

Everything especially the small, cramped room but above all else the small double bed and it’s the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Up four flights of stairs was a nightmare, especially as I had previously informed them that I am disabled with mobility issues and a heart condition that I have a pacemaker for. The only view we had from our one window was a close up of the bricks and roof of the building next door. I was not impressed at all and neither was my husband.
