    Avoid Avoid Avoid - 18-20th Aug 2026

Kenny was lovely made us feel so welcome and did a nice cooked breakfast.

Rooms were very dirty and I had leftover tea in my cup with mould growing on top. Place not open on Mondays and Tuesdays but don't tell you before you pay, so only people on site. No food available until Friday or Saturday- again not informed at all until we got there?? We obviously stayed there to enable us to get food and drinks in the evening. Shame about the cleanliness of the rooms (worst I have ever encountered) as they were quite nice. Stayed Wednesday night so pub open and the atmosphere was as flat as a pancake and the barmaid needs to smile a bit more, I thought she was gonna punch me in the face when I asked for a drink!! Kenny was our saviour. I would never recommend this to anybody else.

Located in the heart of the village opposite the loveliest bakery. The room was very spacious and kept fairly cool in the heat although there was a powerful fan in the room if needed.

Pub itself was closed Monday Tuesday
