our stay was amazing room was ready earlier then check in time we had a great Sunday lunch and breakfast so delicious all served piping hot .a big thank you to all the staff at the red lion.plus plenty of free parking at the rear of the property

A great place to stay and explore Constable country, warm welcome, great food and drink.
A Warm and Hearty Stay with Outstanding Food We had a lovely stay at the Red Lion in East Bergholt. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from the incredibly friendly staff, which set a great tone for our trip. There is also ample free parking located conveniently to the rear of the pub, making arrival entirely stress-free. Our room was spacious and featured a large, exceptionally comfortable bed. The bathroom was well-stocked with plenty of toiletries and the shower was fantastic and hot. We did have to ask reception to have our towels changed and to get the heating turned on, but the staff sorted both requests out quickly and politely. The highlight of our stay was definitely the dining. The Full English breakfast is fantastic and cooked to perfection. We also ate in the pub on our last night; I had a great steak and they served a brilliant gluten-free fish and chips for my partner, which was a massive plus. A separate fryer is used to ensure the food is gluten free. We would definitely stay here again for the wonderful hospitality and excellent food!
Towels changed on request and had to ask for heating to be turned on.
