    Excellent

    Close to the river & town centre & castle & serpentine woods Room comfortable , good view of river Good shower & bathroom facilities Very good breakfast Good spa facilities too. Enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room

    Very good except for the awful breakfast.

    The room. It was clean and comfortable with a view of the river. We enjoyed both the pool and the steam room. Everything was clean and of a high standard. All of the staff were both helpful and kind and pleasant to deal with.

    Breakfast was sub-standard. Tinned fruit salad. Soggy croisants that seemed to be made with margarine. Insufficient unsweetened yogurts. Sliced bread only. No muesli, only sweetened packets of cereal. No cheese and sliced meats. The hot food wasn't bad, but not everyone wants bacon and egg every day. I don't drink coffee, but I sat at table 5 one morning right next to the coffee pot and heard two women quietly complaining that the coffee was poor and tasted stale. For the cost, I expected better. However, one member of staff kindly and rapidly brought me the very hot mug of milk I like each morning after my request. I appreciated that.

    The hotel was spotless and the leisure and spa facilities were brilliant will be returning again as we loved it.

    The use of the spa and gym they were very clean.
