    Fine old pub with welcoming and helpful staff, and a good base for visiting many highlights in East Sussex and Kent.

    Traditional old pub serving good food and drinks. Friendly helpful staff. A good base for visiting various nearby places including Scotney Castle, Bateman’s, Bodium Castle, etc.

    We booked a double room but were given a twin with an apology over the wrong room allocation.
