    Very nice pub and restaurant with comfortable accommodation

    The location was perfect for an overnight stop on our journey north after arriving in Portsmouth on the ferry from Santander. The rooms are in a single storey block adjoining the pub, and the quality and comfort far exceeded other similar accommodation we have stayed in. We had dinner in the pub, which was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was very busy, which is good to see nowadays, particularly on a Monday evening. Definitely recommend. It's also dog friendly.

    The pub itself looks amazing and very inviting, the rooms we stayed in were well equipped and had plenty of room.

    enjoyable short stay in quiet location

    Great horse-themed pub/restaurant with individual rooms outside. Rooms large, with external sitting area. Lights and radio on to welcome us when we arrived.

    The bedside lights were a bit awkward to turn on and off.
