Location was great, elevator ran super fast and reliable. Decor was cool and unique.
My initial booking mentioned incidental charge of 200-300 dollars. Upon checking in, I learned the hotel wanted 500 to place a hold the duration of my stay. I have never been a hotel wanting that much at one time. It caused for a rocky start. The staff was patient while I tried to figure out a fraud alert on my end. I understand many visitors party and the reason they would have high incidentals, but as a quiet traveller it was a high hold to have on my card for the trip. The hotel is on the more expensive side for the area, at almost 300 a night and looks beautiful in pictures. However in person leaves a lot to be desired, with sloppy caulking, stained carpets, and overall a feel it has seen better days. I stayed somewhere in the quarter for 80/ night that was comparable in many ways. This was disappointing. However housekeeping came daily and they were attentive about cleaning. I didn't feel the room was worth the price I was paying, however there were no issues. I would stay somewhere less expensive had I known it was quite generic in the end. Staff was not rude, but not very warm. The men opening the doors stood out the most in their friendliness. I got room service my last night during a rain storm, and the burger was not very good. All this to say, I have no complaints, I just feel the place is over priced. My room was the back side of the elevators, so you hear them non stop like being next to a train. I didn't mind because I like white noise, but I could see this bothering some.
