    A quirky, fun place for a stopover.

    Quirky and fun to stay in the Housekeeper’s and the Maid’s Rooms. We were imagining what it would have been like to work there. Very Upstairs Downstairs ( if you recall that TV programme!).

    This is not a dislike…. I didn’t realise that the Butler’s Pantry/kitchen/diner was the only communal room. But we had a cosy supper in it and that added more fun to the experience.

    We have a lovely stay and saw lots of places on the NC500

    The location was excellent. it was clean and comfortable and good service for breakfast.

    When we booked it we didn’t realise it didn’t have a lounge and the kitchen didn’t facilitate a comfy seating area (only 3 could sit round the table as one leaf was broken)
