    Good facilities and environment. 30min driving time to the beach (Jurassic Coast), and supermarket.

    The cottage is advertised as dog-friendly, but we’re asked not to allow our small dog on the sofa and to keep the bedroom door closed, even though our dog never on the bed, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. We’re also asked to sort all bedding (sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels etc) by category and whether they had been used, which felt more detailed than usual. the duck egg price on the window (£2.40) did not match what we’re charged (£2.80). Overall, a pleasant stay, but clearer and more consistent communication would improve the experience.

    We truly enjoy our stay at the Shippen

    We loved our stay at the Shippen. Lovely and well equipped house and welcoming host. Lots of things to visit around, and had a great time in the game room on rainy days!

    Wonderful, relaxing stay in a very comfortable property with beautiful views.

    Beautiful, large, but cosy. Well equipped kitchen, everything you could need. Very comfortable too.
