    Great Location, Great Room, Would Stay here again!

    Beautiful hotel located across from the Shilin metro station and within walking distance of the Shilin night market and Jantianshan hiking trailhead. Well-appointed room with a fantastic deep tub, rainfall shower, Toto washlet (bidet), automatic curtains, and very comfortable bed and pillows. There were 3 TVs in our room, including one in the bathing area! (We didn't use any of them). Breakfast consisted of a made-to-order entree (6 options), and a generous buffet with continental (croissants/jam/fruit) and asian options (congee and toppings). Great value for the $$. No problem as a non- Mandarin speaking guest. There was always someone who could speak English, and very well a that.

    Staff at breakfast were warm and friendly. Front desk staff, while highly efficient, were not particularly welcoming, never smiling or interacting with guests unless spoken to. This might, however, be cultural, and would not be a bar to be staying at this hotel again. Also, they are building a tall structure across the street, so there are no longer true "mountain views" from the hotel.
