    A little gem that gets hospitality just right.

    When your request is granted straight away, and the host offers even more than you asked for, you know you’ve hit the jackpot in the B&B lottery! The Torcroft truly was a lovely find. The whole place is bright, airy, and full of that understated “old money” charm — elegant, welcoming, and full of character. What we particularly appreciated was the hosts’ approach to hospitality. We enjoyed the little chats whenever our paths crossed, rather than feeling obliged to make conversation. It felt natural, warm, and genuine — exactly the kind of hospitality that makes a stay special. And the breakfast? Absolutely lovely! The Eggs Royale was cooked to perfection. The sausage was tasty and you can tell that the whole English breakfast was organic and not a supermarket find. A beautiful place, thoughtful hosts, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel well looked after without ever feeling fussed over. We’d happily recommend The Torcroft to anyone visiting Torquay, and we’d certainly love to return!
