A lovely "gem" of a B & B, I recommended staying here when you are in East Devon
A delightful stay at "The White Cottage". As a solo traveller, it is sometimes difficult to feel at home. The owners made me feel welcome the moment I stepped through the door. My room was a real delight, really fluffy towels, many toiletries, a cosy blanket on the bed, and even chocolate to welcome me ! It's great to have a lounge to sit in for the evening, as you do not always want to sit in your room. A bar, and comfortable armchairs are all part of the experience at "The White Cottage". I was so impressed that I booked again during 2027. Thank you, I hope to stay with you many times in the future. Highly recommended

Single room with parking and breakfast was excellent value for
Nice Tradional old house with parking . So expect low ceilings and wonky floors that are part and parcel of an old cottage. Lovely pretty village tho I’m bias as I was brought up in the village.Nice garden .

A pretty cottage with a beautifully cared for garden 🪴 our room and ensuite were bright and clean and the bed was very comfortable.
I have M.E. with balance issues and dizziness so, I found the stairs and uneven floors a bit challenging fortunately, I had my husband with me. I think a few more handrails along the landing would be very beneficial. Otherwise, I coped well 😊
