Expensive, But Very Good
The location, the free car parking at the rear. Our room was spacious, nice bathroom, all mod cons, free WiFi, The food in the restaurant in the eveving, and the breakfast in the Dining Room were top notch.
It was the most expensive place we stayed on our tour of Yorkshire, and by quite a long way. This somewhat affected our view of "value for money", but otherwise very good.

Everything! Our room was on the small side, but beautifully decorated and cosy with a good sized bathroom. Great location for us. Lovely and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast
Only downside was a noisy bar next door, but it seemed to close at 11 pm

Highly Recommended
Beautiful, old fashioned hotel. Large room, huge, comfortable four poster bed and a seating area, with squishy sofa and armchair. Windows overlooking pretty Pickering rooftops. Welcoming, professional staff. Lovely bar and dining room. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast. Directly on the market square/street and minutes from the railway station. Many thanks.
