    Great location, views from room and excellent staff

    Third visit. Pleasant room with brilliant view across the Solent. Staff all helpful and friendly. Breakfast great as restaurant. Making great efforts to keep prices stable in current economic environment particularly in the hospitality sector.

    Bathroom could do with a shelf for washbags. Shower over bath was OK but a little bit difficult getting in /out for older customers.

    A lovely pub with good rooms

    The pub is lovely with welcoming staff. The room was comfortable. Up quite a few steps to our room. The pub is in gurnard, not Cowes centre.

    Excellent staff and an amazing stay

    I’ve stayed before and will return. The room was excellent and it was a comfortable stay. The location was perfect and the food was amazing

    Can’t fault anything ..Breafast was fab , staff was very accommodating.. will definitely be coming back

    The Woodvale is a lovely place to stay, staff were great. Stairs are an issue as is parking.

    Breakfasts were all really good. Either delivered by the chef or other staff

    Unfortunately there are a lot of stairs, on booking we knew the rooms were on the second floor but they were on the third floor. My husband and I both have health issues so tried not to go up and down too many times. The small light on my side of the bed didn’t work properly but we forgot to mention this on leaving. Parking can be a problem as they are public parking spaces used by residents of hotel, clients of public, people walking dogs and swimmers and surfers. We were lucky most of the time but had to move the car closer later on.
