    Fantastic cottage, easy to find , facilities very good. Would definitely consider going back and recommend to friends !

    Problems with hot, water possible fault on system, some had to shower in cold water

    Good

    We liked the venue, it met our needs well and there has been upgrades to the down stairs bathroom.

    We stayed at Thomas Fold Cottage from 25th - 31st May and discovered a number of small issues of which you may not be aware and require attention: a. The light dimmer switch in the hall appears to be defective. When switched on the lights flicker, dim on their own and occasionally go off. At least one of the bulbs may also require replacement. b. Two of the kitchen halogen lights are not working and need replacing. c. The two lamps above the bed in the downstairs bedroom are not working. One has no bulb (no replacement could be found on site), the other bulb may just need replacing. d. The coffee cafetière is completely worn out, falling to bits and barely useable. It needs replacing. e. The dining chairs are worn out, the cushions offering no support. These should really be replaced.

    Excellent choice for a casual, walking, dog accompanied holiday.

    The cottage had everything we wanted and was the perfect size for our group of 5 and 2 dogs. 5 minutes walk to the park and head of Windermere, 5 minutes walk into town with all the shops one would expect and many dog friendly places to eat. Beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable, plenty of towels, great showers and loads of hot water. Heating was very efficient and cosy, we had a mild week of weather, no rain and had to turn down the heating. We will book again for another autumn visit.

    Carpets are tired in the sitting room and look grubby. I can hardly complain though as a dog owner. Dining chairs are too old, springs have gone and one required cushions to be comfortable. The vacuum cleaner is not efficient, trying to clean carpet prior to leaving was pointless.
