Extremely disappointing experience, especially considering the level and price of this vacation property. We arrived expecting a clean, properly maintained property that was ready for guests — simply what we paid for. Instead, from the very beginning, we had to deal with multiple issues: the floors and several areas of the property were not properly cleaned, several lights were not working, the safe was not operational, and the telephone was not working. Instead of starting our vacation and enjoying time with our family, I found myself wasting valuable vacation time sending messages, reporting problems, explaining the situation, and following up on issues that should have been checked and resolved before we ever received the property. The most frustrating part was how the cleaning issue was handled. My request was extremely simple: send a cleaning service and clean the property properly. I did NOT ask for compensation. I did NOT ask for a refund. I did NOT ask for any money or special treatment. I simply asked to receive what I paid for — a clean, properly maintained vacation property at the standard that was advertised. Instead of simply sending a cleaning team and resolving the issue, I was told that housekeeping had confirmed the property had been cleaned and that I needed to provide photos to prove otherwise. This was honestly unbelievable. I am on vacation with my family. I should not have to become a property inspector, walk around taking pictures of dirt, and provide evidence to prove that a vacation property was not properly cleaned. In the end, rather than waste even more of our vacation dealing with this, I decided to arrange and pay for professional cleaning myself. What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that the entire situation could have been resolved so easily. A simple apology and sending a cleaning team would have ended the matter immediately.
