Timber Cove- Not Resort Worthy
The ocean view room was great. The room was small but comfy. The restaurant food and staff were very good. Very competent, friendly and accommodating. Easy parking and dog friendly. We love that.
The deck was really small. And the chairs were ridiculously old and uncomfortable. No excuse for that. To say that they include coffee and pastries is just wrong. The free stuff was very plain coffee we could not drink and the "pastries" were just plain. And cheap and one step up from Wonderbread. We paid for cappuccinos. And we were charged a $40 per person resort fee. The spa was "unavailable" we were told. So, how do they get away with that? And the gym is dated. The makeup mirror in the bathroom had no light. The stationary bike is for teenagers. They need a recumbent bike. Lastly, where are the railings on the steep walkways? Too dangerous for seniors. For $800 per night, we can stay at the Four Seasons.

We stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, we weren’t as happy with the first forest-view room as we had hoped to be. However, Vincent, one of the managers, was incredible. He went above and beyond to make our stay better and arranged an absolutely wonderful room for us for the second night. He even surprised us with a wonderful bottle of wine. We really appreciated his kindness and the effort he made to ensure we had a great experience. Thank you, Vincent!

Not recommended
I would have gladly stayed at this resort, but there were wild fires in the area and we were not able to go. The resort itself was closed. I requested reimbursement, but the request has been ignored. I would not recommend a place that treats it's clientele in this way. The other hotel I was going to stay in in this area immediately and graciously reimbursed everyone in our party.
I would not reserve here during wild fire season. Their customer service in nonexistent. Have never contacted us, whereas the other hotel we were going to stay at in the area were prompt and concerned and reimbursed us.
