    Very recommend to stay here.

After seeing the pictures of the kangaroos around the cabins we had high expectations. And we did not get disappointed. 😊 Kangaroos greeted us on arrival and every time we looked out the window. We also were treated to a visit of a kookaburra on our porch. The cabin itself had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the heating blankets in the beds were very much welcomed as well.

A beautiful stay which was marred after we left.

The cabins are in the most spectacular setting and surrounded by wildlife - kangaroos (see photo of mum and joey sunbathing, snapped from our car as we drove by) and all sorts of birds (we saw ringnecks, western rosellas, kookaburras, wrens, wagtails and so many more) were so close to the cabins. Some of our party were excited to find a big spider, others less so, but this is a remote place so to be expected. Sharon is an absolute goldmine for information about wildlife so if you're keen spotters she's the person to speak to. The cabins were clean and tidy, a bit chilly at night (we stayed during the beginning of the spring) but we had everything we needed for lighting a fire in the main room and the double beds had heating pads. There's no WiFi in the cabins themselves but there's WiFi at the office which we were invited to use if needed. The location is great, close to the Tingle Trees with the amazing treetop walkway and we had an excellent estuary cruise with WOW ecocruises in Walpole which is a very short drive away. We had some issues with the booking.com platform itself not showing Sharon and Chris our updated card details but the communication from them before we arrived was amazing and we easily resolved this. We absolutely loved our stay and definitely would've considered returning.

Chris was incredibly aggressive via message after we had left. I'm sure he'll respond to this review (you can read other instances of him replying) and claim we left the cabin in a dreadful state. From what appears in the photos he sent, we inadvertently left a small amount of ash on/around the fire and some pasta sauce on the hob. He demanded we pay additional cleaning charges (didn't tell us what those charges would be) which we declined to do. He also stated that we had damaged a curtain pole but didn't respond to my enquiries about which room the pole was in. We obviously would've been happy to pay for any damages and simply wanted to have an understanding as to where the damage was but Chris told me to "stop pissing in his pocket" which I took to mean that he'd prefer no further contact. This did colour our stay which would've absolutely received a 10 star rating otherwise.

    Nature

Isolation and the ability to enjoy nature. The night sky was brilliant. It had a fully equiped kitchen. Evening meals with a glass of wine beside the fire was lovely. I wouldd love to revisit.
