The potential for this place is obvious, but the owners are missing the opportunity by miles.
The location is super. 5 minutes walk from Central Florence, Ponte Vecchio. Tintori Art Loft has so much more potential to give a more pleasant experience of Florence, but it fails on quality, attention to detail, authenticity and general presentation. The place looks like it has been kitted out by robbing a skip: cheap, confusion of 60’s and 70’s art, a non-working vintage gramophone, Dante quotations on walls, Bauhaus meets Bohemia meets renaissance in a pseudo attempt that fails Florence’s art, literature and culture!
We informed the agent that there was no kettle! They responded by saying the previous guests had burned out the kettle, and would we mind boiling a pan of water?!? We were staying 5 nights!!! The cutlery, plates, cups and glasses were mostly unmatched and so cheap. Tatty carpet, frayed stair carpets led to a stained terracotta tiled mezzanine bed space. Morbid faux artistic cushions and bedding detracted from what was a pleasant period ceilin fresco. The bathroom was comical. No room to turn. Difficult to sit on the wc that flushed only occasionally. The shower dribbled more than sprayed water at variable temperatures. Why not kit the place out with modern functionality?

Lovely stay in florence. Everything in walking distance.
Beautiful and so comfortable. Secure and safe. Restaurants, coffee and grocery store next door. Arno river and Santa Croce around the corner.
