  HORRIBLE! AVOID THIS RENTAL. BADLY MAINTAINED, NO AC, DIFFICULT CHECK-IN, NOISE UNTIL 3 AM

  The only positive thing about this rental was the proximity to the center.

  Check in was delayed as the contact person was not responding to messages and we had to wait in front of the building. We weren't even informed of the check-in process ahead of time, despite sending messages. When we entered there were no instructions and had to text to learn how to turn on the air conditioning, only to find that it wasn't working. The apt was HOT. First they claimed it was working just fine, then they admitted the remote controls had been taken for "servicing" ?? The manager said he would come the following morning but didn't arrive until the evening of the second day and only when we sent another message did he admit the AC motor was blown. So NO AIR CONDITIONING FOR OUR 2 NIGHT STAY IN HOT WEATHER. We had to leave the windows open at night, which wouldn't have been an issue except that the apt is directly over a corner where the party on the street rages on until 3 am. The noise was intolerable. The manager left a portable fan (swamp cooler) which would do absolutely nothing for a 2 bedroom apt except add humidity inside. Added bonus: The bathroom light was out and the fixture was so old they had to order the bulbs (obviously it had been out a long time). Also, TV remotes weren't working. We filed a complaint with booking.com and asked for some kind of refund. No response. The manager called it a "small inconvenience." Beds were uncomfortable, the apt is dated and badly maintained. Overall, a terrible 2-night stay.
