Terrible service, disrespectful treatment, and a complete lack of professionalism
A terrible experience from the very beginning. Check-in had been confirmed between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., but shortly before I arrived, I was told I would have to wait until 1 p.m. I arrived at 11:30 a.m., as previously agreed, and was left waiting outside on the street until 1:15 p.m., with no replies to my messages and no solution offered. The cleaning staff treated me rudely and told me the apartment would only be ready at 2 p.m. I was finally able to get in at 1:15 p.m. (all that time I was on the street) The property is located in an area with extremely steep streets and difficult access, something worth considering if you are travelling with luggage. Given the situation, leaving would also have meant making that difficult climb all over again with my bags. To make matters worse, the key was not where the instructions said it would be. Instead of acknowledging the problem, the host accused me of lying and making things up over WhatsApp. The cleaning lady eventually entered with another key and found the missing key inside the apartment. Despite this, the host continued to question my account of what happened. I provided Booking.com with screenshots documenting the situation. I requested a solution and the possibility of cancelling my reservation, but no satisfactory resolution was offered. The worst part was not simply the delay or the poor organisation, but the disrespectful treatment, lack of communication, and refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes. I would not recommend this accommodation. Difficult access, poor service, and completely unprofessional communication. The impression I was left with is that collecting payment matters more than providing an acceptable guest experience or treating customers with basic respect.
