A wonderful stay in a delightful traditional Japanese house on a truly beautiful island.
Authentically rural Japanese and beautifully restored. Alan the owner looked after us splendidly and we will definitely come back.

Authentisches Haus im japanischen Stil mit schönem Ausblick. Tolle individuelle und persönliche Betreuung (inkl. Shuttle, home made Joghurt, Marmelade und frischem Brot).

absolutely perfect!
Alans house was by far the best stay we had in Japan. Not only is it extremely beautiful, lovely renovated, calm, serene and spotless clean, it has as well perfect comfy beds and a private, modern onsen bath. The fridge was filled with local strawberries, homemade jam, bread, eggs, drinks... The kitchen was very well equipped... Alan and his staff Kasuki are gorgeous. They helped us working out a great itinerary to the art islands during a taifun and very limited transport possibilities. As I lost my mobile on one of the islands, they even helped me get it back. Alan gave us a ride to the museum with his car and showed us his island. We felt as if we had stayed with friends! Great place, even better hosts!!!

We had a truly magical stay at Alan and Reiko’s island villa in Teshima. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail making it feel warm and relaxing. The garden is breathtaking — easily one of the most beautiful parts of the property — with incredible views overlooking the islands from above. Alan made our stay so easy from beginning to end. He welcomed us personally, gave wonderful local recommendations, and arranged e-bikes for us so we could explore the island effortlessly. He also went far above and beyond when we lost an item, even contacting the authorities to help us try to recover it. Everything about our stay felt special, peaceful, and unforgettable. We already know we want to come back one day.
