    Incredible experience!

    This was an incredible opportunity to experience genuine Japanese hospitality. The level of service from the staff and quality of the food were particularly impressive. Both dinner and breakfast were like the tasting menu in a very high end restaurant. Whilst the public baths might not appeal to everyone, the onsen in our room provided a more private alternative. We also had a massage in our room, which was excellent. The shuttle bus to and from Ito station were appreciated, plus we used the local station a few minutes walk from the hotel. All in all, it was an experience we will never forget!

    For a western tourist the attentiveness of the staff and strict traditions can seem a little intense. However, if you are prepared to embrace the culture, you will have an amazing time!

    Best little ryokan

    Unbelievable hospitality, excellent food for breakfast and dinner. Location close to beautiful coastal locations. The private open air baths in the room are absolutely lovely. It's great for someone who wants to experience a hot spring but is nervous about using the public baths. Even though the staff did not speak much English, they did a great job communicating. They were very accommodating.

    There was nothing I disliked.
