    Great pace and lovely host

    Enjoyed our time at Tran Phu Riverside House. It was nice interacting with Thao and her family. The room is very well decorated and equipped with all you might need . The bed was comfy and clean and the amenities were as in the photos and still looked newish. Thao has taken great care to furnish the place, very keen design sense and incorporated comfort for her guest. We had room number 1 which was a wonderful room. Thao also organised a tour to the forest and we added a detour to see some of exquisite and modern temples. Ask Thao about it. We skipped the floating market. You can access the waterfront by passing through a small passage at the far end of the courtyard. The views at the waterfront area are fine, however you have to share your space with mozzies. Bicycles are available for free if you would like to take a ride. I recommend an early morning walk starting from the river promenade about 5 min walk from the house, all the way to the local markets to see and witness Can Tho at its authentic best. It’s a good 5-6 km return walk depending on how far you would like to go . Tidal levels cause some flooding in the path between the main house and the room, so you might have to wade through ankle deep water at those times . Best of all I enjoyed my interaction with Thao who is very fluent in English and was keen to have a cultural exchange through our common love for food.

    Ensimmäisenä majoituspaikalle tullessa pihalla lojui kaksi roskapussia. Huoneen ilmastointi ei toiminut, onneksi saimme vaihdettua huoneen. Huoneessa ei ollut lainkaan hyllyä tai kaappia vaatteille. Sijainti oli keskellä ei mitään paikkaa, valitettavasti Can Tho on hyvin roskainen kaupunki ja majapaikan ympäristössä sen hyvin huomasi.
