Perfect location and great design but the apartment needs some small renovation
When it comes to the location, it does not get better than this. It takes up to 5 minutes from the apartment to get to the Botanical garden (the biggest highlight of the trip), two palazzos and a youth cultural center to get drinks in the evening or listen to live music. The best restaurant I have been to in Rome is just next door. It is also within a walking distance (up to 60 minutes) towards all major attractions. Trastevere itself looks like Rome in the movies, especially in the morning. The furniture in the apartment is very nice. Bed is comfortable and you can cook also bigger meals in the kitchen. I also could leave my luggage at the apartment after the check-out which I really appreciate.
A few minor issues that can be easily improved but overall they negatively affected my stay. I struggled to receive an invoice and had to ask about it a few times. In the end, I received the document but it could go smoother. There are no curtains in the bathroom. I had to hang some textile in order not to be seen by neighbours while taking a shower. There is also a curtain for only one window in the bedroom (it looks like the other one is missing). The apartment is on the street level so it also does not guarantee full privacy. In other words, exhibitionists will love it, others - maybe not so much (but once again, some curtains would change it). Apart from that, there are not enough lamps in the living room. It was quite dark in the evening so I do not recommend it if you need to work a lot during your stay. Some things were not cleaned properly (there was mold in one mokka pot and the latter one was not working on the induction cooker). I also found braces left by probably previous guests… The bin in the bathroom was broken. Sound isolation is also rather poor. You can hear all noises from the street and from neighbours (incl. restaurants). I also ran out of hot water twice while taking the shower which was not the most pleasant experience. Overall, I would rather come back cause the location was perfect and I liked the design. But I would like not to worry about the aforementioned things during my stay.
