    Amazing location, great facilities, love the retro vibes, staff were friendly and helpful

    The only negative was in the morning about 7am there was an awful smell around the downstairs bed, the only thing I thought it could be was a sewage pipe above it. It happened both mornings and cleared after about an hour and half

    Fantastic apartment full of character

    The property is ancient, full of quirky character, comfortable with everything you need. The bed is comfy, the location is fantastic for central York and you can see and hear the bells of York Minster from the bed

    Using the shower was a bit awkward as we did not want to get water on the floor but the bath was lovely

    The location and the experience of staying in such an old place makes this place worth it!

    It was one of the coolest places we have ever stayed, so old and truly an experience to remember

    The shower was so difficult to figure out, we ended up having to shower with the smallest trickle of water which wasn’t fun.
