    A lovingly preserved country house in a lovely location

    We last stayed at this hotel many years ago and it was in need of radical upgrading. The new owners have worked wonders on upgrading this lovely old house while keeping all the period features. The food was excellent the wine list well chosen for most tastes and every wine on the list could be bought by the glass, even the more expensive ones. This is now a warm welcoming Country House gem.

    A short nostalgic trip in a v nice hotel. We would use them again.

    Lovely breakfast, a wide choice. Big room, heating v adequate and easy to control. Nice garden?? - weather was awful. Very efficient and friendly staff.

    We are both elderly and a grab handle would have been useful when using the shower over the bath.
