Our stay at Le Dattier was amazing and the kids loved it
The location was very secure and we felt safe as a family. the property its self was very clean and they provided security Services at Night which made the whole family feel safe. the Pool was wonderful and rooms very confortable.

Le Dattier was the perfect place to have as a base for exploring Mauritius.
Le Dattier is a quiet complex in a noisy seaside town. It has security and a well maintained community swimming pool. It is close to shops and beach and only an hour's drive from most places on the rest of the island. There is a wide choice of eating places nearby. The property is clean and basically equipped with all you might need, including towels for showers and around the pool. It felt like we were staying in a Mauritian friend's place. We even had Netflix!! The owner was very good at responding to any messages and questions. He also offers car hire. I would certainly recommend to family and friends.
We couldn't go for a morning swim in the pool because it was being cleaned from about 9 to 10 am most days. Two minor things about the apartment: we couldn't find a tea towel and the glass in the shower is cracked but those things really didn't matter to us.

Great value accomodation with really helpful host
Our host Rishi was beyond helpful, providing lots of information and helping us with renting a car. Arriving and getting in was therefore really easy. The apartment is large and well equipped including comfortable beds, lots of towels, fairly well supplied kitchen (including knives that are actually sharp unlike many I’ve experienced elsewhere!). The complex is quite nice with a good large pool, plenty of car parking, a tennis court, etc. and only a short walk to shops, eateries and the beach.
The complex is a little old and could do with some fresh paint but that’s a minor thing. There were quite a few mosquitoes around, so worthwhile packing some bug spray (although there was some provided in the apartment)
