Lovely stay with a few niggling details

We stayed in the Acorn cottage and it was really lovely, true to the photos and with all the amenities, more spacious than the photos would imply. Tastefully decorated and very peaceful, with a beautiful, well-kept little garden. The bath was terrific although note that the jets don't work if that's important to you. Self check-in was easy and it was overall a relaxing, comfortable stay.

The hot water pressure is quite poor. The dark navy towels provided were shedding a lot on damp skin, leaving trails of dark fluff. We stayed in the middle of winter – there was not enough kindling provided for two nights, and most of the logs were too large to burn properly without smaller pieces to start off the fire. We ended up buying our own kindling and firewood which was a little disappointing.
