Very quaint and quirky, loved all that.

    Lighting wasn't great.

    Nice house

Needs a better kitchen. No oven and limited space.

    Wonderful house, location and owners.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Biker friendly, parking for four Motorcycles right outside. The house was very clean and tidy with loads of character.

    Nothing!

Set in the beautiful hills of Brecon, it’s a lovely period cottage in a peaceful location providing access to local wild

Amazing location and incredible period cottage.

The kitchen facilities are a little lacking for eating in

Charming cottage, but poor upkeep and a pest problem

The cottage had real character — the style and interior charm of an old farmhouse came through, and it's the kind of place that could be a lovely stay under different circumstances.

A strong, humid/damp smell hit us as soon as we walked in The staircase was very steep, which felt like a safety concern for a group of adults Cobwebs and spiders were present in multiple rooms — the general upkeep felt neglected rather than just "old house" quirks Most seriously: on our last morning, as we were packing to leave, we discovered a rodent (mouse or rat) had chewed through our bread packaging and eaten into the bread overnight. We hadn't seen any signs of pests before that, which was unsettling to find right before departure. Photos attached. We didn't get the chance to flag it to the host directly since we found it right as we were leaving, but the overall state suggested this wasn't a one-off — more a lack of basic pest control and maintenance. We wouldn't recommend this property until these issues are properly addressed.
