    This is such a peaceful and beautiful place, perfect if you want a private ryokan experience in a lovely, quiet neighborhood that’s still not too far from downtown. The house feels traditional and modern at the same time, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The little backyard with the koi pond and the private onsen tub was pure bliss. There’s something almost timeless about staying here — the whole place exudes calm and makes you feel completely removed from the rush of everyday life. It was a truly special experience, and easily one of the most peaceful places we stayed during our trip.

    The cleanliness left a little to be desired, especially in the bathroom, where there was a rather unpleasant tuft of hair stuck to the shower wall and a bit more dust than we expected. It was a little off-putting and took away somewhat from an otherwise very pleasant stay.
