    A comfortable independant house near the center of Cagliari, with a glimpse into real Italian life

    A very comfortable two-story house (semi-detached) located close to the center of Cagliari. The house is fully equipped with kitchen appliances and a washing machine; it has two bedrooms upstairs (though they are adjoining/walk-through rooms). The property manager provided excellent care and was very flexible - we arrived on an early morning flight and were able to check in well before 3:00 PM. A minute’s walk from the house, there is a small beach, along with two good restaurants and a bus stop. You need to take the bus to reach the city center, as it is not possible to cross the bridge on foot; alternatively, you can drive your own (or a rental) car. The bus route to the city center (Piazza Matteotti) takes a circuitous path (15 minutes), passing through Cagliari’s largest shopping center, where you can stop to shop or dine at one of the restaurants. As for the house itself, it is situated in a small area known as Villaggio Pescatori, which offers a glimpse into authentic Italian life, especially in the evenings. On the ground floor, there is a small patio with a big table, chairs, and a barbecue grate. We had a very pleasant and comfortable week-long stay, using the house as a base for our excursions (we had a car rented at the airport).

    Ok , But not very good value for money

    The outdoor seating was very good, but adjacent to the road

    There was mention of a private beach, indicating it was something to do with the property, But they are private to the two business operating there. The balcony is part of the step by the front door, nothing you could use to relax with drinks in the evening. Streaming services is by an amazon firestick on an old TV. Kitchen was lacking a few essentials. Some cushons for outdoor seating would have been nice. The black Steel staircase was not comfortable - my wife cut her toe . Be prepared to bang your head a couple of times at the top of the stairs and when moving around the bedrooms
