Very helpful and nice owner. The inn has a movie theme, and it is clean and gets the job done. Pleasant breakfast/cafe place too. The situation next to the ferries is outstanding as a base for Naoshima (I slept on the island, but feel that I could have used this inn as a base instead).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the private bathroom was very clean. The inn is a quirky place with the feel of a hostel. We appreciated the laundry facilities, especially the separate dryer that did a great job of drying a full load in 60 minutes.
The room was very humid and had a bit of a musty smell. The curtains covering the walls in the corridors made the place feel dark and somewhat cave-like. But these were minor inconveniences that were made up for by the friendly staff, the cleanliness and the comfy beds.
