    Highly recommended traditional ryokan stay

This is your best bet when staying in Unzen. Friendly staff, very accommodating to your dietary needs and strategic location - near to jigoku, souvenir shops, restaurants & bus stop. The humble ryokan feels dated but that's what gives you the classic, traditional feel. The futon felt soo comfortable, so much that I want to sleep in there all day! They have shower too inside the room. There arent many traditional ryokan in that area. Mostly are modernised and you won't get the authentic ryokan experience as you always see in the anime or movies. If you need dinner, please book early as they normally start to prep them during the evening.

There was some weird noise coming out from the ventilation at night. I suppose its the mountain winds but I hope they'll fix that.

    接客、ご飯とても美味しかった

    やはりスリッパがその前に誰が履いたが気になるのと、出来れば飲放題も同じ価格でつけて欲しいです。

Great location, delicious food, and friendly staff!

I loved the location. Taking the bus from Nagasaki Station to Unzen, it drops you off right in front of the Ryokan. They allowed luggage storage too, which made it nice to be able to drop my items off and explore once I got there before check in. The staff were all super friendly too and the food was delicious! You are not far from many different trails to explore around the parks- and there is a nice shop in the main floor of the Ryokan that sells many different goods too.

I wasn’t able to figure out how to turn on the warm water for the onsen in my room, however a staff member came and helped me out and was able to get it going again!
