This was a lovely stay and the magnum of Prosecco was a nice too.
It was beautiful, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped.
Nothing really but the access way was slightly tricky and not that much space to park if there were others.

Mis-sold as luxury – in reality, shabby and disappointing
unfortunately our experience did not match the “high-end” description or the photographs on the listing. On arrival, we quickly realised that many aspects were poorly maintained. The furnishings were rickety, several door handles were loose (one was a genuine fire hazard), and one of the children’s bedrooms was missing a blind, leaving the window uncovered. To their credit, a repairman was sent the next day to fix the blind and door, but these issues should have been addressed before guests arrived. Cleanliness was another concern: dishes, cutlery and barbecue utensils were greasy and dirty on arrival. The bathrooms flooded whenever someone showered, and the kitchen lacked basics such as proper cereal bowls and enough teaspoons. The “games room” was especially disappointing. In reality it was a small garden outbuilding with a low ceiling where most of the games were unusable: missing chess pieces, incomplete Trivial Pursuit, no ping-pong balls, and a console that didn’t work. What also affected our stay was the tone of communication before arrival, which felt accusatory and made us anxious not to “break anything”, even though the property itself was in need of upkeep. Individually, the problems might sound minor, but taken together they gave the impression of neglect rather than luxury. For the price paid, the standard was not what we expected or what was advertised.

A great, festive family stay
A beautiful old property with ample room for 9 of us. Great to have the huge dining table to gather round, and a really comfortable sitting room to unwind in front of a film at the end of the day.
