  Do not stay here!

  The only good thing here was the location for what I needed and parking outside.

  This property did not meet any of my expectations from the details and photos in the listing, combined with the price that I paid for a 2 night stay. The main issue was that the poorly fitted back door did not close or lock securely - despite making the owners aware of this immediately upon my arrival, and multiple messages subsequently, they did nothing to fix it during my stay. As a result, I did not feel safe in the property and I was unable to leave any of my belongings there whenever I went out. In addition, the property was unfinished and what had been completed was to a poor standard. The carpet was dirty and clearly had not been vacuumed for some time. There was very little in the way of furnishings and only very thin blinds in the bedrooms, which did not block out any light at all.

  Horrendous don’t ever book , cleaner sleeping outside

  Check into the property on Friday after a 5 hour drive from Scotland as the picture that are posted make it look as though it would be a good home for the weekend due to our other usuals place being booked that weekend. Upon checking in one of the patio doors in the living room had no blind this was lying on the floor. From walking in the property had very minimal furniture. Unsure if the place has ever had a proper clean. Place was very dirty cobwebs hanging from every unit or door frame. Skirtings black with dirt. Only thing that was clean was the beds ( thankfully) . Patio doors were unlocked upon arrival. Before going to bed tried to lock this door. Would not lock communicated with the host and they asked for a video this was sent tried what they suggested and that did not work told they would look at the issue after we checked out. This meant the back door had to stay unlocked in an area we were 1. Not familiar with. 2. I had 2 young children staying in this house with me. This resulting in myself not being able to sleep as the house has an alley way up the side for anyone to access and it would lead them to the back door. Communicated this throughout the stay and the communication was shocking. Paid almost £220. Then a further £35 waiver fee or they wanted a 250 refundable deposit before giving out the address/ accesss code. Paid over 250 for a dirty unsecured ‘home’. We had booked this stay to visits family in a town not too far and it totally ruined our weekend not only did it have its physical impact because I couldn’t sleep but it ruined the weekend. I have gone back and forth with the host asking for some sort of compensation not a full refund. They have now come to me today after a few ignored messages from myself offering a 20% discount for further bookings !! Goodwill gesture !! It is outrageous as you can read I would not be booking again or using this 20% discount 😡 I was more than understanding and very patient.

  House not as clean as it should have been. Well decorated.

  It was well decorated nice furniture.

  It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. No extra pillows for the bedrooms I personally can’t sleep on one pillow at night. The garden is very over grown, it would be nice if there was a small table and chairs outside to sit when the weather is good. Not enough plugs in areas you need them!
